A simple guide to help you choose the right fit.
Buying a ring online can sometimes feel a little uncertain. Too tight, too loose, spinning around the finger… finding the right size matters more than we think.
The good news is that with a few simple tips, it’s absolutely possible to find a comfortable fit from home.
At AgJc, every ring is handmade in our Paris atelier and designed to become part of your everyday life. This guide was created to help you choose your size with confidence and ease.
The most accurate option: visit our atelier
If you are in Paris, the most reliable way to find your size is to visit our atelier-boutique in person.
We can measure your finger precisely and guide you depending on:
• the width of the ring,
• your preferred fit,
• seasonal changes,
• and how you usually wear your jewelry.
Wider bands, for example, often feel tighter and may require a slightly larger size for optimal comfort.
A few tips before measuring
For a more accurate result:
• avoid measuring when your hands are cold,
• try measuring at the end of the day,
• and remember that your dominant hand is often slightly larger.
Measure your finger at home
If you can’t visit the atelier, there are several easy ways to measure your ring size from home.
Method 1: Use a strip of paper or measuring tape
1. Cut a thin strip of paper.
2. Wrap it around the finger where the ring will be worn.
3. Mark the point where the ends meet.
4. Measure the length in millimeters.
The measurement corresponds to your finger circumference.
Example:
54 mm = French size 54
Already own a ring that fits?
This is often the easiest and most accurate method.
You can simply measure the inside diameter of a ring that already fits comfortably:
• place the ring on a flat surface,
• measure only the inside of the band,
• without including the metal thickness.
